Upon agreement, the first day of our two-day desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora begins at 7:00 AM. You will travel to Zagora via the winding roads of Tizi-N-Tichka.
As you journey further, you’ll encounter numerous Moroccan Berber villages, where you’ll have multiple stops to stroll, converse freely and amicably with the villagers, and capture photographs of the beautiful scenery.
One of the highlights of the day is a visit to the historic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. As your travel itinerary progresses, you’ll explore this cinematographic monument for approximately 60 minutes, depending on the time arranged with your group.
Lunch will be provided at one of two locations based on our schedule: Kasbah Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate. After lunch, you’ll continue through the Draa Valley, with a stop at the village of Agdez and the Anti-Atlas Mountains, allowing for an eco-friendly experience amidst the palm groves.
In the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Zagora, where you’ll embark on a camel trek through the desert as the sun sets. The day concludes with a delightful dinner banquet and a drum celebration with the locals, marking the first night of your journey.
Begin your day with a choice: indulge in a deep sleep or wake up early to witness the night give way to dawn. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before embarking on the second camel trek of this journey.
In no time, you’ll find yourself back at the village of Ait Benhaddou’s Kasbah, retracing your steps on the final leg of your two-day Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora. After a delightful lunch, you will be dropped off in Marrakech around 6:00 PM.
